All the car blogs lately have been speculating on the direction that the Ford Motor Company is going to take in the wake of declining sales and stiff competition. We know that Ford has too much capacity and we know that the company will be closing some key plants and laying off an as yet to be determined number of employees. What hadn’t been clear is which models would be cut from the line up. Now, it appears that Ford will exit the lucrative minivan market. That’s right, Ford apparently will stick with building cars, trucks, and SUVs, and leave the minivan market to the other players. Ever since the Chrysler Corporation invented the minivan market back in the early 1980s with its line of “K-car” derived minivans – the Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager, and the Chrysler Town & Country – Ford has been playing catch up. Indeed, a series of forgettable “star” named minivans were served up by Ford and summarily rejected by consumers: the Aerostar, Windstar, and the Freestar. Later, both Honda and Toyota brought out their own entries and Ford, along with Chevrolet found themselves trailing badly in an overcrowded segment. Indeed, several GM divisions sell minivans, as does Kia and Nissan, making the market especially tight. Should Ford decide to go ahead with plans to ditch the minivan market, it wouldn’t be a complete retreat. For one, many consumers prefer the automaker’s popular Ford Explorer SUV while its all wheel drive Freestyle wagon/crossover competes well too. Finally, another vehicle – the Edge – will soon make its debut and likely pull many minivan customers over. The Edge will be yet another crossover vehicle – somewhat of a SUV/wagon hybrid – and fill the need for consumers. Yes, Ford appears ready to ditch the minivan market. No loss to consumers and probably a smart move for the beleaguered automaker.

Aside from that, however, is the possibility of the console carrying the main components that are found in most PS2 or PlayStation 2 games. As a matter of fact, a software solution is currently being developed and will most likely be installed in future alterations or modifications of the latest Sony game. This will then render the hardware of PlayStation 2 basically ineffective. The Ultra One report has yet to be verified. However, if the story turns out to be accurate, then the possible inclusion of the PS2 hardware in the initial batches of PS3 Games that will be introduced in the market some six months away clearly points to one direction: it will tend to raise the total cost of every PS3. This will ultimately lead to greater income losses for manufacturing giant Sony. This is a somewhat contradictory position for Sony to take when one takes into consideration the intense preparation that it is making in its all-out battle for supremacy in the video game industry. This is the logic that must be remembered so that it could place its name back in the growth list category. PS3 Games are set to be launched by middle of November this year. Simultaneous launchings of the console have already been scheduled in three different countries namely, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Reports say the game will have revolutionary interface systems, which will include the use of Blu-Ray media. This does not mean that the game will not play DVD and CD media because it still will. However, it is highly likely that Sony will make several refinements in the design of both the console and the controller. As a matter of fact, the electronics firm is scheduled to unveil the final design of the PS3 controller at the E3 games convention which is set to be held next week. Initially, one million units of PS3 Games will be manufactured solely for the November launch during which the games will come in black. An additional five million units are expected to be produced by the end of March next year. PS3 Games will reportedly serve as the flagship of Sony in its quest for leadership in the estimated $25 billion video game industry. Apart from the PS3 Games objective, also in the entertainment conglomerate's immediate plans is the domination of the next generation of DVD's as well as the commercial viability of its Cell microchips and possibly, even control over living room electronics all around the world.

The crowd here is pretty bohemian, and you’ll likely find a drum circle around the statue, especially if you come on Sunday afternoon. In early 2003, not long after the Anaheim Angels had captured the AFL championship, their new owner, Mr. Moreno, decided to change their name. The Disney Company bought the team from Gene Autry in 1997, and it named the team the Anaheim Angels. So for close to six years the City of Anaheim had benefited from the Angel’s new name. The City of Anaheim voiced strong objections to the proposed name change in 2003. Some of the residents of Anaheim demonstrated obvious support for their government. They designed a special logo that poked fun at the proposed name change. Their logo contained an “L” and an “A.” The “A” was hooked onto the horizontal bar of the “L.” Their “A” had a halo, but it seemed to have broken while dangling from that “L.” The residents of Anaheim saw a broken team in the team with the words “Los Angeles” in its name. Objects bearing this logo of protest soon began to appear at the Angel games. Some game attendees purchased those items. What exactly is motivation? Everyone does not always define motivation the exact same way. Some people describe motivation as a mental force that drives a person to accomplish an end such as finishing a project or saving for retirement. Some people say that motivation is why some individuals do one thing and others do something all together different. Motivation is often discussed in terms of setting and achieving goals and also what determines the behaviour of a human being. Motivation is sometimes defined in terms of feelings that push a person to achieve a given objective. Often motivation is believed to be the reason that a person chooses to do anything in particular, whether it be applying for a specific job or taking a chance by asking someone out on a date. In the realm of psychology, motivation is closely connected to behaviour in terms of the initiation as well as direction, intensity and persistence of it. Motivation has to do with having the interest in doing something and then having the willingness and ability to see it through to completion. Motivation however is not the same as emotion or personality. Motivation is instead a dynamic and temporal state of mind. A person who is motivated can be motivated to accomplish a long-term goal or a short-term goal and both have value. Sometimes a motivated individual will break a long-term goal down into a series of smaller short-term goals in order to make the end result easier to reach for and attain. The motivation to work towards any given goal can change and often times circumstances make it necessary for a person to modify their level of motivation. I know I can't. So, I went to the neighbourhood Rabbi and asked for advice that will help me find my true way in life. The rabbi nodded and took me to the window. "What do you see?" he asked me. Promptly, I answered, "I can see people walking to and fro and a blind man is begging for alms at the left corner." The Rabbi nodded and guided me to a big mirror. "Now look and tell me what you see?" "I can see myself," I man answered. The Rabbi smiled. "Now you can't see anyone else. The mirror and the window are both created from the same raw material: glass, but because on one of them they have applied a thin layer of silver, when you look at it all you can see is your own reflection." The Rabbi placed his arm on my shoulders. "Compare yourself to those two pieces of glass. Without the silver layer, you saw the other people and felt compassion for them. When you are covered with silver, you see only yourself." I looked at the Rabbi and stared. "I don't understand." The Rabbi continued. "You will become someone only if have the courage to remove the silver covering over your eyes in order to again see and love others." He patted me on my back and sent me on my way. I have thought of what he said and come to the conclusion that he had a point. Yes. We need money and we should not aim to lead a moneyless existence; its pointless and will only cause us and our families many heartbreaks in the future. Instead, I suggest that we should follow the advice the Rabbi gave me. When we approach life through a silver covering, all we are able to see is ourselves. But discard that covering, and you will be able to see and feel everyone else. Conclusion: In life, we are allowed to and should be able to look at both kinds of mirrors, but we should remember that a mirror reflects only us; a window is the door to compassion, health and true wealth. In other words, seek wealth by all means, but don't let it dissuade you from life, people, children and the poor and needy.
